I was having lots of problems with a misfire on Cyl3 and have went through several Coil packs on just that Cyl I was told that my problem was the control module below the coil packs. So I bought all new coil packs and a new module I sanded the aluminum plate that the old one was on and applied the grease as directed I did have a problems with the bolts that hold the coil packs down so these have all been replaced with metric screws and nuts. I secured the coil packs to the module to the aluminum bracket and re attached the bracket back to the motor I reattaced the lead to the moduel and snugly scewed it together making full contact. The car will not start now Im lost as to why the firing oder is correct verified from 3 sources front coil back to back coil pack
is 6, 3, 2, 5, 4, 1

I am truely lost, Nothing else on the car has been touched. I apper to have good spark also. Also pulled moduel off and had it checked at the parts house it checks out fine all green.

Thanks for any imput

Hello try this. Go to ur local self serve junk yard and get the complete coil pack with icm and try it. Most likely somthing burned out when itwas installed unless u forgot to plug the harness to icm or you didnt plug it all the way in?Those cars did come with that problem burning out number 3 coil and sometimes others. Anyway you will have less problems if you use good plugs high performance plugs because they burn hotter than regular and also good to have a good fuel filter clean and good plug wires. That problem on v6 camaros cannot be fixed its just a factory mess up but dont mean car is bad because they r not they r good cars. My brother has one and has done same thing, I recommend you use auto lite xtreme plugs they r pricy about 6 or 7 bucks each but well worth it and will last way longer than regular ones. And when ever your driving if you feel the car missfire just let go of the gas a bit then press it again and u will be fine, just dont press it harder if it missfires cause thats when u burn out the coil. Good luck
