My 1997 camaro has a voltage flux while at a stop light or sign. It will go from 14v down to the red on the indicator. I changed the Plugs, wires and alternator, so before I go and spend the money, could the coils be bad?

The coil would not cause that problem.
Check your battery and battery cables. Check for corrosion or damage at ALT connectors, check vehicle grounds, check your belts. Also check for vacuum leaks
