1995 Chevy Camaro Alarm System goes off and car wont start

1995 Chevy Camaro 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I recently purchased a 95 comaro and had to do some exhaust repair that required me to disconnect the battery.
When completed, I reconnected the battery and the alarm system keeps going off and the car will not start.

What can be done to disable or over ride the system?

Hello, I had the same problem with my 96 camaro, I armed the alarm and the battery went dead, I got a new battery and put it in, and went to start my car, the only thing it did was the alarm would go off, its the switch because there is a little wire in the switch that reads your chip on your key, the wire frays or breaks. Hoped this helped, god bless
