Transmission problem
1993 Chevy Camaro 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

just put in a new clutch kit. Now i'm having trouble getting the transmission back in the car. How do I get some firewall clearance so I don't mess up the teeth on the new clutch kit?

If the car was the same as when you took the transmission out you can lower the back of the engine by lowering the jacks holding the engine up, do it just a little as it will change the distance between the fan and the radiator. Make sure the splines are correct, did you use a clutch allignment tool when you put the clutch and pressure plate back in. With it been off just a little you will have a problem alligning the transmission into the pilot bearing on the flywheel.
