1992 Chevy Camaro V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

My 92 Camaro rs doesnt wanna start in cold weather and mostly when I start it, it has high oil pressure and idles rather high. It could use an oil change but could there be other problems I should check for? And also when I go to put it into gear the shifter seems loose or somethin. It doesnt click into place right and rarely ever goes into park. I almost have to slam the shifter up to get it into park. Could it be a problem with the column? Or should I look out for transmission problems?

If you have a coloumn shift it is probably all linkage. If you look on the drivers side of the transmission you will see where the linkage hooks up. Check the shaft that sticks out of the side and make sure its tight, if not you will have to remove the pan and tighten the nut on the inside. Its just like doing an oil and filter change on the transmission but you have to tighten 1 extra nut.
