1991 Chevy Camaro Radio

I have a 1991 camaro rs.I recently put a new sterio head unit in it and I have no power to my unit. I checked thefuse box.I c no burnt out fuses.

Are you sure the radio works? Also, you need to make sure your wiring was correct. And finally, check the in-line fuse that's in the red power wire that feeds the radio.

To check for power, you need a test light. Remove the red power wire and probe that for voltage. If there's voltage, then you need to check the ground circuit. If there's a good ground, then your radio doesn't work.

If there's no power, then probe the circuit backwards to the fuse box until you find a break in the wire or a bad connection. If you don't have a good ground, then find one in another location.

Hi guys. Also don't forget there are two power wires. One for the switched power from the ignition switch and one that's always hot for the station preset and clock memory. Some radios are totally dead if the memory circuit is dead. Some work but have no sound.
