I am trying to diagnose a cranks but will not start issue with my camaro. I have checked extensive items on the vehicle which include:

TPS
CTS
MAP
MAT
All of the above mentioned items checked out OK. I checked for the reference signal from the ECM and for the ground and the signal back to the ECM from the sensor. I have 40PSI of fuel pressure at the fuel rail. The fuel pressure is steady and does not bleed down.
I have spark from all 8 plugs.
I do not have any trouble codes.
I do have the "check engine" light present when the key is turned on and it does flash code 12.

I used a noid light and checked for injector pulses at each fuel injector. Pulses are present at each injector. The car cranks over fine but does not start, if it does start it will run very rough. If you disconnect any of the 8 fuel injector electrical connectors the car will start immediately but run very rough. As soon as you plug the fuel injector electrical connector back in the car will immediately stall. I tried a new ECM but that did not correct the problem. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated.

Thank You,
Grant

Thank you for reply. I had the ignition module tested and it was OK. I also checked the ignition coil and that to was OK. I spoke with a couple of other techs and they and I came to the conclusion that the fuel injectors are bad. My service manual states that all the fuel injectors should have over 10 ohms of resistance. 2 of the 8 injectors showed a resistance of only 4.2 ohms. I have taken the upper part of the engine off and have ordered all new injectors which I plan to install as soon as they arrive. Hopefully that will take care of the problem and I will be back on the road again.

Thank You,
Grant

Hey sorry it took so long to reply but I just checked my emails. I replaced all 8 fuel injectors and the EGR valve and my car runs great. It sounds as if you have a different problem than I did. My car would not start at all. Let me know what type of engine you have and what diagnostics you have done and maybe I can help you. Your best bet is to get a GM service manual and follow the troubleshooting charts that relate to your problem.

Hope this helps,
Grant
