I have a 1991 camaro z28, 305 TPI, automatic transmission, 200,000 miles. It started but ran rough. When it got warm it would die and not start. I took it to a mechanic and he put it on the computer, he said I needed a new distributor(got one from jegs-high performance and also a msd remote coil for it), new cap, a new MAP sensor, new throttle positon sensor. I replaced the distributor, cap and coil. The car started fine but too it for a ride and it died. The next day the car started okay. I bought a new Map sensor and a throttle position sensor, installed them, and the car won't start at all. I disconnected the battery andwaited for a while to see if the computer needed to resetitelf and then reconnected the battery. Still would not start. It turns over but does not start. Thought something might be wrong with the new sensors so I tried putting the old ones back on one at a time but now even with both old ones the car only turns over, does not start.I reconnected a vacum line that had been disonnected when I took it to the mechanic, but nothing else was changed. What could have happened now? Anyone have any suggestions on what could cause this? What do I do now?
