1990 Chevy Camaro Car sputters and dies

Sometimes my car will sputter and die "out of the blue". It usually runs great for an older car. But twice now I was driving it and stopped it and shut it off. When I went to restart it, it would sputter and die. It acted like it had a hard time starting and would start, but then die. Once it got started and ran a bit, It would seem fine. It has really been weird since it doesn't happen often...just twice now. Could it be bad gas? Or something such as that?

I would check the tune up as a 1st step fuel filter also may help
if its cold try some fuel additives
check fuel pressure
