Transmission problem
1989 Chevy Camaro V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

My car is shifting from first to second. Then when the it is ready to shift into 3rd it does not shift. I have adjusted the the kick down cable and the fluids are topped off. It worked fine earlier during the day. What do I need to check or what could be the problem?

Will it go into 3 manualy placing shiter in 3? You say adj. TV cable did you follow self adj proceedure?

I have placed the shifter in drive and overdrive. It does not go into third or fourth. It goes from first to second but after that it does nothing. I was told that the trans pump might have went out and that would cause the problem.
