1989 Chevy Camaro Idel funny

When I am driveing the car when I shift the gears it wont idel down. When I come to a stop wit the clutch in and seat for a bit it will slowley idel down but then I give it the gas to go it cuts out and dies but start right back. If I keep the rpm up above 1000 to 1500 it wont die. Also in any care it wont go over 3500 rpm it starts stalling out like no gas. Also noticed when it dies the oil presser drops to 0 if I pump the gas it will not die but finaly catch and run right. What is up.

If it sounds like it is running out of gas you need to check the fuel filter and make sure you have enough fuel pressue to the fuel rail. Check your ignition system and make sure you have a strong spark. Also check your throttle return spring that could be the slow idle drop problem, it might just need a little lube, wd40 works good for that.
