just put rebuilt engine in had oil pressur at start up ran ror 3days lost pressure took dist out oil pump hard to turn is this norm or bad pump or spun bearing

Not normal pump should have a little resistance. Was both ears on pump still there? Any damage to dist. Shaft? Pull pan inspect pump then check bearings if good replace pump and see what you get. I hope there is warranty on engine.
