1981 Chevy Camaro Car wont start makes a clink sound

Ok to start off my starter went dead so i replaced it then we replaced the starter solenoid but after doing all that the car wont start and just makes a clink sound the radio works the lights work but the car only makes a clink sound when trying to start it wont start.

Double check the battery and its connection-if okay could be the ignition switch and neutral safety switch.

Hold key in cranking position-look for power at the purple wire on the starter solenoid. Do you have it?
