1971 Chevy Camaro V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual

i switched over to hei but using the same engine harness. The car runs fine but when I disconnect the battery the engine stalls. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks confused

Check the hot wire going to your HEI distributor. It should have 12 V. With the ignition on. If that is the case the next thing is to make sure your alt. Is charging.
That is where the voltage comes from if you disconnect your battery with the engine running.
