I have a 1967 Camaro and I need your help. I changed out the A.C. Generator to the standard alternator system. I followed the instruction to a Tee. Everything went well and the car was charging and running just fine. I just bought a new set of after market gauges. I hook up the oil sending unit and the temp sending unit. I was going to hook up the voltage gauge wire and I was going to run that wire form the positive stud on the alternator. I went to loosen up the nut and the whole stud turned and now I have no power to start the car. COULD THIS BE MY PROBLEM? WOULD THIS PROVENT MY CAR FROM STARTING? Do you think that I should go back to the old system, just to test the system? How do I go about troubleshooting the system? Please get back with me. Do you have a telephone number that I can reach you at? My number is (254)319-8774. Thank you, Rory

Hi, no don, t change back this system will be much better. If you had no probs before the stud turned, then take your alternator back and get a diff one. If their was no prob before that. There is no other option. Billymac. Check the connection at the starter clean and tight check the connection at the batt clean and tight. Remove cable from alt and connect it to bat pos if starts new alt. The pos cable should go directly to the starter. Billymac
