I have a 1995 Blazer 4WD.
My transmission is going out. When I am in reverse it feels like the gear is not grabbing just slipping along. I can feel it slipping a little when I go forward.

What kind of cost am I looking at if I want to have my transmission rebuilt or replaced? Parts and labor.

WHATS HAPPENING IS A COMMON PROBLEM, THE REVERSE REACTION SUN GEAR IS STRIPPING IN THE SHELL AND SENDING METAL THROUGHOUT THE SYSTEM, NORMAL REPAIR IS SOFT OVERHAUL WITH BANDS, CONVERTER AND A COUPLE OF SOLENOIDS, DEPENDING ON WHAT PART OF THE COUNTRY YOUD BE LOOKING AT 2100 AND UP
