I have a 95' Chevy Blazer 4.3 4x4 that has been out of commision for about 2 months now. I Had been driving on the freeway 60mph shifting into OVERDRIVE when suddenly everything just shut down! I Had my lights but the gages & engine was gone. From that point on I havent been able 2 get the engine running again. It will crank over but wont start! Now from trying crank & start the engine the battery had died! So In the prosses of jumping the battery my starter started kicking without the keys in the ignition. Now from this point on every time I connect the Positive & Negitive terminals to the battery the starter keep's on Kickin' Trying to crank over the engine! If I jiggle the key in the ignition I can get it to stop, but when trying to start the engine you hear a few loud clicks coming from the starter & it goes right back into its cycle of Cranking over the engine! At this point I don't know what eles to do I'v had the starter tested & it was fine. So now I need to figure out why this is happening & fix it before I can begin to Troubleshoot & get my Truck Running again! So if anyone has ever come across this before or has any information it would be Greatly Appreciated!
Thanx Nick

If the starter solenoid checks out and if you have to jiggle the key to stop it-Bingo its your ignition switch see below how your starting system is wired
