Automatically goes to Auto 4 wh drive

I have a 2000 Chevy Blazer. Several days ago was going down the street when it automatically went into Auto 4 wh dr/ neutral/ 4HI & 4LO. All those lights display on the dash. After some time they will blink and the vehicle will jerk some? I am lost. It will has difficulty shifting

My brother has been asking around. Seems it could be a switch within the dash causing either a short or just going bad that needs replaced. Gonna try that first before taking to a mechanic on Saturday.

Will wait to see if anyone responds to my question

When first start in the am it is in the normal 2Hi. Then go a short distance and the lights will flick on and off and then all the lights but the 2HI are on.
