Hello there,

Just wanted to ask a quick question. I have a 2000 Chevy S10 Blazer 4.3L vortec with 105,000 miles on it and recently have replaced the starter 3 times within one year. Since I have done this the last time the ABS and Parking Brake dash light periodically show up and stay on. I was wondering if this a code of some sort and also wondering why I have had to replace the starter 3 times all the sudden. Anyone with an answer to this PLEASE let me know.

Thank you,
Jeff Taylor

As far as your starter problem, Are you doing the repairs? Chevy uses shims in the mount area of the starter to properly space the gear, called the bendix drive, from the flywheel teeth. If too close it won't engage, too far and it can grind both sets of gears. Check your flywheel teeth.
Check the brake fluid in the master cylinder, then the fuses and relays for the ABS.
