The left brake light does not work and the center led strip is also not functioning. The bulbs are new, the tail lights do work as do the turn signals. The issue is that when the brake pedal is depressed only the right hand set of lights actually gets brighter. Could it be a bad relay somewhere?

First check and see if there is a blowen fuse in the system. Do you use a trailer often? Have you checked to see if there is voltage coming out of the socket

I checked the fuses, none of them are blown that I could see. I've never towed a trailer with it.

Check and see with a test light if you have voltage coming out of the socket with the brakes applied
