1998 Chevy Blazer Loss of power and steering

Last night pulling into work parking lot, truck lost power and was very difficult to steer and the 4wd light came on. It still ran but it felt like the emergency brake was on, it was harder than heck to steer into my parking spot and the 4wd hi light came on. This is the second time its happend to me, other time was in the driveway. I shut the truck off than it runs just fine. I'm very nervous to drive it this way. Any thoughts?

Check your battery, as it may be in poor shape. If it lost power that's why it was hard to steer because the pump quit working. The only thing to advise is scan the engine for codes. But keep in mind that a weak battery will effect the computer system. Also check your fuel pressure and change your fuel filter if it hasn' tbeen done in a while. If it's I don't remember when I did change it then do it.
