1998 Chevy Blazer general question

I just asked a question about 1998 ford mustang transmission noise and made a small donation. I should have asked this then but didn't. I am thinking of buying a 1998 chevy blazer v-6 vortec auto trans 4wheel drive in decent shape. Should I avoid this vechilce like the plaque or is it a not to many unusual problem vechicle that as long it was properly maintained it should be worth the buy? Thank you for your valuable input.
