1998 Chevy Blazer Just bought car 4 months ago and motor kn

Bought the vehicle 4 months ago at car lot with no warrenty. The motor started knocking really bad like metal fixing to come through the hood. I have kept the oil changed and it has always been checked once a week. It still cranks up, but I don't want to crank it up because I don't want to mess it up. I am a single mom who can't afford to be ripped off

Hello,

Hate to be bearer of bad news. But, sounds like one of 2 things.

First - Could be the Oil pump has gone bad and not pumping oil through engine. Could be up to $1,000 to fix.

Second - Main Bearings have gone bad. Means New or Rebuilt Engine is needed.
