Noises problem
1998 Chevy Blazer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 186k miles

Hey guys, I got a 98 blazer with about 186,000 miles on it. Over the past few months it has developed a chirping noise from under the hood when the car gets heated up. First I replaced the serpentine belt and belt tensioner. Well that was unsuccessful in solving the problem. I have come to the conclusion that it is a bearing on one of the pulley's that has worn it self out and is chirping once the car heats up. My question is is there anyway to find out which pulley it is without replacing them all. Could it be my idler pulley that looks a little worn. Just trying to fix the problem with little money especially since an idler is under 20 dollars. Just wondering because it only happening while im driving so I cant heat the car up then put it in park, open the hood and it still be chirping. Because I know then I could shoot some wd 40 on each one til the noise went away

Putting wd40 on won't help as they are sealed bearings. It can be the alternator bearing as well. If you can get a sound maginifier then you might find it that way. Also if you check with an auto parts store you can replace the bearing instead of hte whole pulley. Or go to a store that handles bearings and take the old ones out and just replacethose.
