Electrical problem
1998 Chevy Blazer Four Wheel Drive Automatic 147000 miles

Is this an electrial problem? Or bad fuel pump? When turning the key in the ignition, nothing happens. The car is silent - no noise - just dead. After 4-6 tries, the dash gauges start jumping around, and then on the final key turn, the car will start. The trip odometer and clock resets, so I thought it might be electrical.

Try checking the ignition switch if the contacts are wearing out it will give this intermittent concern.
