I just replaced my starter and now it cranks slowly, im thinking it might be the power cable to the battery, ive never taken the flywheel cover completely off so im not sure if it has a gasket or just bolts back into place. Im hoping I didnt damage the flywheel

There is no gasket between the starter and block. However there can be a shim. Go over your instructions on the install once again. Then make sure your battery is charged up. A 10 amp charge for a couple hours should be ok for it. Clean your cables on the battery and the engine ground. These are usually the cuses of your type of problem.
