Could o2 sensor make motor sputter cause it needs to be changed but auto place said its probally not y it sputters

Welcome, I guess anything is possible. How long since a tune-up? Use a gage and check fuel pressure. Some of the national brand autostores used to loan out a fuel pressure gage, if you don't have one. They also used to check trouble codes for free.

If that sensor is bad it could make the engine run rough, but with a 150000 miles my guess is plugs and wires wouldn't hurt if its never had them replaced
