1993 Chevy Blazer 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

THE TIRES ON MY 1993 CHEVY BLAZER ARE 1 SIZE TOO LARGE. THEY CAME WITH THE TRUCK. IF I CUT MY STEERING ALL THE WAY, I THINK I'M FEELING A RUBBING, BUT WAS TOLD BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER THAT THIS ISN'T AN ISSUE. I ALSO LIVE IN OHIO & WAS TOLD THEY WERE BETTER IN SNOW THAT WAY. WHAT'S THE REAL DEAL? THANKS!

Yes, if the tires are rubbing something it is an issue. Depending on what they are hitting, they could cause damage to steering components or the tire itself.

Here is a rule to follow. The wider a tire is, the less pounds per square inch is distributed on the tire. Therefrore, the worse they will do in snow. A narrow tire will actually provide better traction in snow because there is less area touching the ground thus more pounds per square inch (on tire surface) because there is less width. I hope that doesn't confuse you. If you have other questions, let me know.

As far as height, a higher tire will give more ground clearance. But you don't want the tires to rub.
