The serpentine belt was replaced no more than 2 years ago. It is frayed on the inside edge. I can not find anything it may be rubbing against. This is not my car but a lady I work with. Also, how hard is it to replace?

It is easy to change belts. The pulley that is causeing the fraying is not. If indeed it isn't just wear. Check to see if any of the pullys are cracked. If not than it's just the belt. You hammer down the tensoner with a big ratchet and slip off the ol belt and on the new. If a motor mount is in the way. Add this step. Pop some woodon a jack and put it up to the pan in a safe looking way. Jack it maybe a fith an inch past touching and then pull the mount.
