How can I check fuel pump on 2000 chevy astro

If you have a test light, find the Fuel Pump Relay. Should be under the hood in the Power Distribution Box. Once you find the relay pull it out, using the test light clip the end to a good ground, next stick the probe into each slot and make not of the ones that light the tester. Next take a jumper wire stick one end in one of the slots that made the light light then stick the other end in one of the slots that did NOT light. Listen for the pump. If don't here pump from front of vehicle go to the tank and take of the cap and listen.

If you don't have a test light look at that relay check the numbers and look at the other relays to see if any have that same number if so just swap the relays. Turn key to on position and listen for pump, it should only run for a few seconds so listen close. Or if have someone to help have them turn key to on position and you listen at gas tank.
