Fuel pump issues 91 Chevy Astro

What is causing my failed fuel pumps? I've gone through 4 and ready for the 5th in my 1991 chevy astro van 2wd. Any ideas what the culprit is? 5 fuel pumps in 2 years is ridiculous!

Are you using oem pump? Use a gage and check fuel pressure. Check supply and return line for free flowing. You did change the fuel filter and filter sock, correct? Check fuel pump amp draw. Gas tank is clean inside?
