I was running speaker wires underneath dash below steering column after put everything back together went to start it and it wouldn't crank. I have tried replacing the starter, cleaned battery terminals checked and charged battery, replaced terminals and negative cable, checked fuses and relays, bypassed clutch interlock safety switch, cleaned all ground wires I could find under hood, and installed push starter switch to bypass key ignition cylinder. Gauges come on lights radio etc but still does nothing when I try and start it with keys or push button starter.

I looked in my Haynes manual and could find anything on a security system. Honestly I didn't think I had one and most of the stuff I can find is for a jeep grand Cherokee not a regular Cherokee xj. I pull the dash paneling off to look at the wires again under the steering column and driver side kick panel area. I could not find anything that looked unusual. So I guess my question is can u give me a direction to look into about that security system? And any other suggestions or advise that might help? Im all ears. Oh and do u think it will roll start if it is a security reset issue or no?

If it's a security issue it won't start period check item s in pic and check starter relay for making contact in fuse box as it may not. Is this a wrangler or a Cherokee as they are different. Also check the switches for putting power to the different areas. And check battery for condition including load test autoparts do for free
