Check engine lights on hard to start

Hard to start when start it runs great more I drive it easier it is to start, check engine light will stay on then. The check engine light will go off it will start and run fine and stay off for a while leave it set check engine light come back on and be hard to start. Once it starts it runs fine and gets better as I keep starting it.

First thing is to have the computer scanned for diagnostic codes. There is defiantly a code or more stored in the ECM. This will lead you in a direction to start looking for problems.

If you decide to conduct the scan yourself here is a link that features an article with written step by step instructions and pictures explaining how to do the scan yourself, also I have included a link to our YouTube channel with a how to video on code scanning.

This is applicable even if your check engine light is not on.

Most scanners are inexpensive to purchase, you can purchase one online from sites like Amazon.com
