Check coolant level message comes on and stays on

I have checked the coolant level and added maybe 24 ounces of coolant to the overflow container. When I started the car, the message still came on. Do you have any ideas why this is happening? Should I take it to a mechanic and have the coolant system pressure checked? Thank you.

Good morning,

Yes, I would have the system pressure tested to be sure there is no leak.

The sensor for the low coolant level may also be the issue. Have them check the sensor. It is a common failure.
