Charge light stays on

I just replaced my alternator. My old was on it way out dim and flickering lights voltage jumping erratically. I got new find charge light was on my voltage reading good 13.5 volts drops bit on a load. Did see in the box eld on low charge not sure how relearn or detect the alternator replacement.

Hi,

Are you checking the voltage at the battery? I ask because 13.5 is good.

I attached a copy of the wiring schematic below for the charging system. Take a look through it. If you are getting 13.5 to the battery and the charge light is on, we will need to investigate the can-bus wiring. Check the fuses that are indicated as well. Make sure there is power to them as well.

Was it doing this prior to replacing the alternator?
