I have the car listed above with a 3.5 se it’s a c 6 obviously. I am down to the head, and I have cleaned everything up and I have the correct head gasket to go on the left side which is where I started. I got the new bolts in the mail today and I just need to know if the torque specs for the 3.5 that I have are the same as the torque specs for the four-cylinder. Please tell me the story torque specs for putting a cylinder head onto a blog for my car.

Hello,

There is a certain sequence that the head bolts need to be torqued. It is critical that that process is followed correctly.

These are the torque specifications for the head bolts:
1: 98.1 Nm (10 kg-m, 72 ft-lb)
2: Loosen in the reverse order of tightening
3: 32.9 Nm (4.0 kg-m, 29 ft-lb)
4: 90° degrees rotation clockwise
5: 90° degrees rotation clockwise

I have attached the procedure below showing the torque sequence and other helpful information.

Let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
