Drive light started flashing then my check engine light came on

My drive light started flashing then my check engine light came on and speed odometer quit working. I checked the code it said speed sensor. I had the shop change it and a new plug in for it but it did not work and the drive light still blinks and check engine light still comes on.

What speed sensor? the one on the transmission or the vehicle speed sensor on the output shaft?

I checked the code myself it was one blink and then seven blinks. I looked it up it said speed sensor. What do you mean code set?

It was the one on the the transmission.

The plug in I replaced that to it was all burned and melted.

Okay, I attached the flow chart for the 17 code. You need to follow the flow chart step by step.

It may be a connection, wiring issue or the ECM.
