1994 Honda Accord

My car is a 1994 but a honda specialist told me the engine is 1997. The gauge that tells you how fast you are driving doesn't move or when it does it goes up and down very fast plus the check engine light came on and went off and came back on. What is going on? Someone please help me understand what is wrong with my car.

Hi ibaguinova,

The speed sensor or its circuit is faulty causing the speedometer to work erratically and the Check Engine Lamp to show. Sometimes the D4 light might blink as well.
