Catalytic converter O2 blocked. I was told that there is a law in Pennsylvania emisson control if your car is ten years young it is covered under the law my warranty has run out. So my question is do I go to a Jeep dealership and will they take care of this issue and does the state pay the cost? Please advise

There is the federal clean air law that covers the converter, ECM and the self testing sections of the system for eight years 80,000 miles. Some vehicle manufacturers go beyond that, but I do not believe Jeep does. It would be in the warranty section of the owners manual or booklet that came with the vehicle.

In either case the warranty would be from the manufacturer of the vehicle and they would be the ones who paid the bill.
