Engine lost power while driving

I was driving down the interstate last night, probably doing 90 mph (speeding of course) when all of a sudden my car just started decelerating. I ended up on the left shoulder of the interstate. Car never cut off. Air conditioner still worked. The car just wouldn't go. When you pressed the gas pedal it wouldn't go anywhere. My husband checked the fuses and wiggled a couple wires and after about 10 minutes it just started working again. Can someone please explain to me what happened because I don't get it?

Were there any DTCs? Check engine light flashing or come on? If not, I can only think that the transmission has a seal issue where you lost pressure when the fluid was hot and thin.

Clearly we will need a little more to go on so hopefully there are codes and we will need to drive it and see if this happens on a more repeatable/predictable basis.
