Engine does not crank when turning the key?

My car won’t crank over. There are no lights on the dash at all, it doesn’t crank when turning the key, but the hazards work and the car chimes when I have the key in it and the door open. Lights don’t work either. I recently bought a new battery and since the problem has started I have changed the entire steering column thinking it was the ignition switch. It did nothing.

So with this kind of problem the first thing you should do is check the fusible links. Here is a guide to help and the link locations in the images below.

Also, make sure that all power wires going tot he battery are connected, if you can upload an image of the battery and terminals I can see what the problem is. Check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes.
