Trying to start my vehicle it just makes a single click then nothing. Occasionally it will attempt to turn over for a brief second then stops. I tested the alternator and replaced the starter (it was bad anyways) but the alternator tested good. The battery still has a charge on it. I do not know what else it could be.

Hello,

Just so cover the basics, have you tried to jump start it?
From what you are describing it could be a weak battery or a bad starter. Since you have replaced the starter, it could be that the battery is too weak to start the engine, even though the lights will come on.

If you are able to jump start it, then it is just a bad battery and will need to be replaced.

If you still just get clicks, then first check all the battery connections. Including the battery terminal as well as the cable that connects to the starter. Make sure they are all secured and free of any corrosion.

I have attached the battery replacement procedure below.

Please let me know your findings or if you have any other questions.
Thank you.
