My daughter set off the alarm while inside the car. She brought the key and wireless remote to me and I pressed the unlock button on the remote twice and then I locked it. When we got ready to leave I pressed unlocked on the keypad and noticed it beeped four times instead of twice. Put the key in the ignition and the dashboard stayed lit up. I pressed on the brake to move the gear and the radio cut off and the gear shift locked but the car continued to run. We unhooked the battery hoping to reset the system but we did not wait a certain amount of time before reconnecting it. Tried again with the key in the ignition and it did It again. Then we tried locking and unlocking the doors using the remote and using the actual key. Still no change. Then we used the remote to start the car and then we put the key in the ignition but the gears still would not unlock. Just to try and make it home, one of the coaches pushed a button to override the gears to move it in drive. We got halfway home when the car started slowing down, headlights started dimming and going out, and jerking slightly so we pulled over. Waited until we could try getting a jump-off thinking it was the battery, but then it would not crank at all.

Yes, it does sounds like the voltage of the battery is down on voltage. I would replace the battery to see what happens.

Here is a guide to help:

If the battery is new and you still have the problem we should check the fuses first. Key "on".

Please let us know what happens.
