Hello,

Shutting of while driving is a symptom of a faulty crankshaft position sensor.
Over time with all the heat and vibration the crank sensor can loose its calibration. It can stall the engine while driving. Many times you will be unable to start it back up. The crank sensor is located on the lower back side of the engine (see diagram). Keep in mind this crank sensor does require relearning/programming after replacement.

Is your check engine light illuminated? Typically when a sensor fails the engine light comes on.

I have attached diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
