I have a 2000 Toyota Celica GT and recently I have had a new starter, new battery, and new fuel pump installed. My dad told me he had the engine rebuilt at 100k miles. It was driving fine until I went out in the morning to try to start my car, and it sounded like it barely started and then cut out to the continuous turning over (sounds normal like it always has) but hasn't been able to start for almost two weeks. The electricity in the car works and there is fuel in the tank. Any help would be appreciated!

Is there a yellow check engine light on in the gauge cluster? If so, have the code read and sell me what it says. If not I need to know that too. Are you sure you're getting spark to the spark plugs? Does it sound like the engine has compression or does it sound like it's freewheeling, because if so you could've broken your timing belt

The engine sounds the same as it did when it did start. It just keeps turning over and never comes close to even wanting to start

It could be a lack of spark or it could be that the ECM does not know where the engine is due to a bad crank or cam sensor. Any of these would have set a code in the computer which can be pulled out with a diagnostic computer. I have to know if there's codes to get some direction
