Car will shut off after 15 minutes

My car will start and run for 15 minutes and then it will shut off. I try to restart it and it will not do anything at all it will not turn over. Let it set for an hour and then it will start again and run for only 15 minutes again and shut off again. What could be causing this to happen?

A lot of people get the terminology mixed up, so to be clear, the starter is not cranking the engine, is that right? What sounds, if any, do you hear from the starter relay or starter solenoid? When the stalling occurs, have you checked for spark, fuel pressure, or diagnostic fault codes? Has the charging system been tested?
