Sounds like it is air bound. Is this a 3.1? If so there are 2 air bleed screws located on the engine. One is near the upper radiator hose, while the other is located on a black metal heater hose tube located on the passenger side of the engine. With the engine off, open these bolts, they are 7mm. When coolant comes out, close them. Run the car. May need to do a few times, but always do when engine is cool, and not running.
