Car shuts off at random, then restarts

While on the freeway today, the car just shut off. I discovered if I turn the ignition to off it would restart. This happened a few random times before I got home. It would always restart if I turned the key off. Any clues?

Hello,

These cars had a big problem with the distributor. Please remove the cap and look for rust colored dust under the cap and in the distributor.
