Hello,

Just to clarify, does the engine shut off while you are driving or does it runs rough?

If you are experiencing engine stall the it could be due to the crank position sensor.
Over time with heat and vibration the crank sensor can loose its calibration and send incorrect signal to the ECM. This can make the engine stall regardless of if you are driving or at a stop.
Sometimes this will trigger the check engine light.
If your engine light illuminated? If so get it scanned to retrieve the codes. It can help with the diagnostics.
You can get the engine light checked at your local auto parts store.

If it runs rough as you are driving then it could be due to number reasons. It could be an issue with the fuel or spark. If the engine does to get proper spark or fuel it can run rough. It can also be due to a sensor for the engine management system.
Which can also trigger the check engine light.

Please let me know little bit more information.
Thank you.
