Hello,

The check engine light of the VSC light gets triggered when the on-board diagnostic detects faults within those respective systems.
It could be due to any number of sensors or components, can also be due to wiring issues as well.
The best course of action would be to scan and retrieve the trouble code(s), which can help with the diagnostics.

We will need to know more details of what all those repairs were suggested to give you an idea.

Thank you.

These are the things which are needed for repair. Can you suggest if the cost is okay, and I want to run this car for 3-4 years so should I make this investment my main concern is even after doing all the repairs will I run into additional issues in future.

The list consists of typical maintenance and ware and tare items. Like the brakes, oil change, CV axle, and valve cover gasket (likely due to oil leak).

If you are experiencing noisy brakes, oil leak etc. It will be necessary to perform these repairs. However, repairing these won't prevent other components from going bad. So, fixing these will only help with these components and can still have issues for item parts.

One thing you can do is to call around to a few shops and get some prices/quotes. That way you will know if you are being quoted fairly.

If you plan to keep the vehicle for a few more years, it could be a good idea to have these repaired. Just keep in mind that it will not prevent other components from going bad.

Hope this helps.

Which other components are you talking about? Can you give some examples which can lead to major costs in future?

What do you suggest should I sale off this car in the current market situation or go for repairs? I will need a car cannot do without it. In given conditions I might get three to four thousand dollars for this car and purchase it for six thousand.

Due to the age and mileage of the vehicle it could need other suspension components, like control arms, struts etc. One of the common failures is ignition coil. The big item that has been reported is transmission issues.
Overall, these cars are reliable with less issues them most other vehicles this age.

Anytime you are faced with this type of decision, think of it this way, regardless of what used vehicle you purchase, there is always a chance of components failure, and you will get into uncertainties. Unless this vehicle has been plagued with a bunch of issues, it might be a good idea to repair and keep and stay on top of all the maintenance.

At typically what mileage these components related to suspension are required to change. My car is at 106,671 miles currently and what issues transmission face on this car and is there any way to preempt the issues? Is there a manual available online in which I can read regular maintenance items for every 5,000 miles driven?

It is recommended to inspect those components for ware and tare. As depending on driving habits, road condition, weather etc. The actual time for a worn-out component will vary quite a bit.

See attached for the maintenance guide/schedule.
